I expect courtesy when I am lecturing and I expect all students to be respectful to each other and to me.
I expect all students to attend class and to arrive on time, fully prepared.
I expect your full effort in all endeavors
What you can expect from me:
You obviously have a goal for the year and I am prepared to help you reach that goal of graduation by providing required instruction, communication skills, as well as college readiness instruction to prepare you for your future.
If you need additional tutoring or test preparation, I will be available during my conference period, as well as before and after school. Be sure to let me know, so I can be sure to be in my classroom during those times.
I will treat you fairly, respectfully and will teach you the skills required to be successful in the English/Language Arts curriculum and in your future communication requirements.
Blog requirements
Each week, I will post assignments, scheduled tests, helpful links, and any other information that I think will help you in this class. Please refer to this blog and invite your parents to view the blog as well. I think this blog will be a useful organization tool and a great way to communicate with each other.
I look forward to our year together and hope you will take with you a positive experience.
Your senior year should be your best year. Lets work together to make that happen.
